Chris Goss, Research Technologist at InnoTech Alberta presents the use of GC-XSD to eliminate the need for several sample preparation steps like distillation and sample washing as well as sample handling steps. Significant reductions in sample handling minimize the chance of false positives by olefin production and subsequent reactions during distillation.
