Overcoming PFAS Challenges - Minimizing Sources of Contamination

Introduction

PFAS compounds are ubiquitous throughout the environment and accumulate everywhere, including in the lab. Many of the components used LC, MS, and solid-phase extraction systems are made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or PTFE copolymers, which leach PFAS compounds and cause background interference during sample measurement. In this video Molly Cyr, PerkinElmer Application Scientist, explains strategies that can help lab minimizing sources of contamination for PFAS.
