Tackling Environmental Challenges in Air

Introduction

Lara Phelps, Director of the US EPA Office of Research and Development, Center for Environmental Measurement and Monitoring, Air Methods and Characterization Division, recently gave a keynote presentation at the Global Environmental Sciences Summit hosted by PerkinElmer. Her presentation is focused on the latest EPA efforts in air monitoring including providing an overview of the environmental challenges associated with air monitoring, insights into emerging issues and contaminants of concern, the application of innovative technologies and the successful development of collaborations to advance knowledge and problem solving.
