Sample and Data Handling Problems

How the sample is presented to the instrument and the physical characteristics of the sample will impact the spectrum. Understanding these impacts and accounting for them provides good data. Some of the strategies to account for the sample itself might include data presentation, changes in how you collect the spectrum or transformations can help. Finally, any sample that comes to an analyst runs the risk of contamination which can confuse or cover up the actual sample problem.
