In this presentation, Ian Robertson, Principal Application Scientist at PerkinElmer, discusses an FT-IR solution for performing a rapid, "Green" ASTM Method D7575 for testing hydrocarbon contamination in environmental water samples and other water samples like waters utilized in manufacturing agrochemicals products. Agrochemical product manufactures must ensure regulatory and environmental safety standards for their products and their production facilities, including the emission of oil and grease into waters. Some key advantages of utilizing this analytical method include ability to use of a solvent-free membrane, the option to work with volatiles as well as non-volatiles, and supporting high volume throughput.
