Green Chemistry Network Centre Accelerating Innovations in India

Introduction

Professor R. K. Sharma provided insights on the advancement of green chemistry for our audience at the PerkinElmer Global Environmental Sciences Summit. In addition to teaching in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Delhi, Professor Sharma is the coordinator of the Green Chemistry Network Center (GCNC). The GCNC is focused on promoting Green Chemistry practices in teaching and research in order to reduce hazardous waste and increase environmental and human health. The presentation provides a brief background on the practice of green chemistry as well as numerous real-world success stories of its implementation.
