Introduction
Tomato is a moisture rich, pigment heavy matrix that makes multiresidue pesticide testing harder than it looks, and conventional QuEChERS cleanup adds real time and cost to every batch. This application note shows how a simplified Blend and Inject workflow on the QSight 500 LC/MS/MS system detects more than 200 multiclass pesticide residues in tomato without salt partitioning or dispersive SPE cleanup. Despite skipping those steps, the method still meets SANTE guideline criteria for linearity, recovery, and precision, all within an 18 minute run.
