Microfluidics are systems for switching and splitting the flow between GC injectors, columns, and detectors. These include backflushing, mass spectrometer isolation, column splitting, dean-switching, and more. Use of microfluidics may be useful for those working in forensics, environmental, petroleum, or flavor/fragrance industries.
