Cost-effective Fuel Analysis
The Spectrum Two™ offers trouble-free analysis of biodiesel. Intuitive design features suited for demanding quantitative applications allow even inexperienced IR users to generate clear, high quality results.
This out-of-the box solution enables labs to get up and running faster, regardless of the level of expertise. This comprehensive compilation of materials includes detailed SOP’s, sampling accessories, calibrations, and quick reference guides, all brought together through the Touch App™ interface. This system includes:
FT-IR Biodiesel Application Pack
The FT-IR Biodiesel Application Pack contains all of the resources and components necessary to perform efficient biodiesel analysis using the Spectrum Two.
The Biodiesel Application Pack contains:
The Touch Apps Software Kit includes the software and SOPs to support routine QA/QC analysis of fuels using FT-IR spectroscopy. Spectrum Touch software provides a simplified, workflow-driven operating environment; for faster, more reproducible analyses.
The Touch Apps software supports the following analyses:
Note: Does not support ASTM D7371. If this analysis is required, please refer to the Frontier Biodiesel FT-IR FAME Analyzer.
Spectrum Two Instrument
The Spectrum Two spectrometer with KBr optics and a standard, high-performance room temperature LiTaO3 (lithium tantalate) detector delivers a spectral scan range of 8,300 – 350 cm-1 whilst offering 0.5 cm-1 resolution and 9,300:1 peak-peak signal-to-noise ratio for a 5 second scan in a sleek, compact design.
Key features that allow for consistent performance of this system include:
Spectrum 10™ Software
Included in this system is the Spectrum 10™ software, which enables you to control the instrument and to manipulate the spectra that you collect. The spectrometers can operate in ratio, single-beam, or interferogram mode.
From material and contaminant identification to quantitative analysis, the comprehensive Spectrum 10 software suite allows you to focus on what matters most – results. Designed for busy academic laboratories, this comprehensive FT-IR software package facilitates data collection, processing, results generation, basic and advanced data manipulation, spectral calculations, COMPARE spectral comparison, PLS/PCR/Beer’s Law predictions, Beer’s Law Quant method development, spectral search with starter libraries, and built-in online tutorials. The software enables users without scientific training to generate infrared spectra from a sample and validate them against reference spectra in minutes, or even seconds.

The International North West 200 motorcycle road race is Ireland’s largest outdoor sporting event where skill and performance are pushed to the limits. To keep the focus on the riders and the bikes, the North West 200 requires each team to use a race-supplied control fuel. Determination of each team’s fuel compliance must be as fast and accurate as the race itself – so the outcome can be confirmed in real-time.
When it comes to testing, race organizers depend on highly accurate results within 10 minutes of sample collection. With that goal in mind, Euro M-Sport conducted exhaustive research on the available analytical options and instrumentation that would meet the specifications of the NW 200 fuel testing requirements.
Your in-service lubricant testing lab demands high productivity and reliable results. Does your lab measure up to today’s standards with:
With a full suite of instrumentation like Spectrum Two™ FT-IR and OilExpress 4 systems, consumables, training, and service, our combined oil condition monitoring package is designed to support every key aspect of your oil analyses.
