Our pathogen detection assays have been specifically developed with the fast-paced food testing environment in mind. Each system comprises a specifically designed immunoassay kit, dedicated selective enrichment media and automated liquid handling. Committed to food safety excellence, our assays bring significant productivity benefits to a food safety testing environment. Achieving rapid results from our assays enable the production facility to take actions such as release product, reduce inventory, or take prompt corrective actions when necessary. As sample volumes fluctuate the lab must also have the flexibility to cope with varying demands, maximizing throughput with optimal use of resources.
Our assays are validated by external independent laboratories to ISO 16140 (AFNOR) and/or certified by the AOAC Performance Tested Method and Solus One Salmonella OMA status granted by AOAC.
When automated, our immunoassays deliver the capacity to maximize the use of available laboratory resources and optimize lab productivity. Labs that implement our system experience many benefits.
The cornerstone of our pathogen detection system is our selection of assay kits, based on enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Developed and manufactured by PerkinElmer specifically for the food safety testing environment. Utilising proprietary antibodies and production methods which have been optimised to deliver excellent performance. Post selective enrichment our immunoassay delivers negative or presumptive positive results within two hours.
Immunoassay kits are available for detection of Salmonella, Listeria species and E. coli O157 in 96 and 480 well formats. Our rapid result range, Solus One, includes kits for the next day detection of Salmonella or Listeria.
As a self contained unit the Solus DS2 Automated Laboratory ELISA can process 186 samples (plus controls). The DS2 has a small footprint and fits discretely into any lab environment. The software takes the user through the procedure one step at a time, with on-screen instructions guiding them through from loading of samples to seeing test results.
All our assays can be fully automated, meaning you can walk away from the test once it is set up.
The DS2 enables increased traceability and security, allowing barcode sample ID entry and electronic transfer of results to LIMS.
