FT-IR Educational Resource Pack

This kit contains resources and experiments that can be used as part of a curriculum or adapted to meet the individual needs of your institution.

The experiments are designed to:

• Develop skills in sample preparation.
• Generate an understanding of the most appropriate sampling technique to use for a variety of sample types.
• Demonstrate the value of using FT-IR spectroscopy in identification and verification of materials.
• Discuss potential sources of error in sample preparation and ways in which to improve spectral quality

Also, the kit contains the IR Tutor CD, a multimedia program that provides an introduction to the theory of infrared spectroscopy and the interpretation of IR spectra.
