Brownlee Aquapore AX-300 columns are built on large pore silica for improved retention and resolution compared to traditional silica. These columns are weak anion exchangers composed of a crosslinked polyethyleneimine phase bonded on the silica surface. Conventional Brownlee columns (non-cartridge) use standard compression end fittings compatible with all HPLC instrumentation and do not require holders unless they are being used with NewGuard cartridges. To couple a conventional column to a NewGuard cartridge, a NewGuard holder (07150001) is necessary.
