Over the past decade, awareness and concern about Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) has grown and led to more in-depth analysis of these compounds and the effects that they can have on human health. Due to their inert nature, PFASs are persistent organic pollutants and have been found to accumulate throughout environmental ecosystems. More recent research has revealed the toxic effects PFASs can have on humans and wildlife and is driving enhanced global regulations and monitoring of their presence in Air, Water and Soil as well as other matrices. In this talk, Dr. Derek Mattern presents tips and tricks for the analysis of perfluorinated compounds in water utilizing the QSight® LC/MS/MS instrument.
