Biography
After studying in chemistry at the University of Bremen, Dr Müller completed her doctoral thesis in analytical chemistry. The focus of this research consisted of the isolation and structure elucidation of natural products. After her PhD, she joined the KIT with a focus on batteries, where she works on the analysis of gases and electrolyte samples with regard to the analysis of electrolyte components and mechanisms of degradation processes in battery cells.

Biography
Dr. Tutuş, heads up the Department of Membranes and Functional Films at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research IAP. He collaborates with colleagues from the Potsdam Science Park, University and Max Planck institute. With his team of researchers, he is working to develop new recyclable membranes made of polymer compounds with unique properties and using non-toxic solvents, which are advancing sustainability goals for a range of membrane and separator applications.

Biography
Dr. Ruiz obtained her PhD in Materials Science at the University of Oviedo in 2008. Then she obtained a postdoctoral fellowship at the Energy Technology Division (Energy storage/supercapacitors group), CSIRO, Australia and a Juan de la Cierva fellowship at the Research Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CIN2). Expert in the synthesis of active electrode materials for supercapacitors electrochemical characterization and testing. Since 2013, she is working as Scientific Officer at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in the Netherlands focused in battery testing with main interest in regulatory and normative aspects relevant to the performance, durability and safety of batteries for mobility and stationary applications.

Farzaneh Sarrami is a QC Manager at Northvolt. She is an accomplished adviser to the teams addressing cathode active material (CAM) analysis requirements from production, R&D of next CAM generation, and recycling department as well as managing a team of 12 analysts to nail targets. Farzaneh enjoys using her skills to contribute to the exciting technological advances that happen every day at Quality control. Farzaneh graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2019 with a Ph.D. degree in chemistry.

Simone Cailotto is working as Associate Regional Segment Leader in PerkinElmer. He studied chemistry at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry with a thesis focus on the synthesis of innovative materials and their characterization. After his PhD he focused his attention on the synthesis of nanomaterials from renewable resources. Then he moved to PerkinElmer where he is now involved in the applied market segment.
