Biotin labeled dideoxyguanosine triphosphate (ddUTP) is biologically active and can be incorporated with a variety of DNA polymerases including Taq, Klenow fragment, and Sequenase™. It terminates further incorporation and enables identification of the complementary base for applications like DNA sequencing and detection of point mutations. Biotin-labeled products may be detected with streptavidin conjugates. For the highest sensitivity in detection, we recommend using a streptavidin-HRP conjugate with tyramide signal amplification (TSA).
The number “11” in the compound name refers to the length of the linker arm between ddGTP and the label.
|buffer||10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.6, 1 mM EDTA|

TSA reduces exposure timein an imaging assay for PKCa. Protein kinase C alpha (PKCa) is associated with a wide variety of cellular processes including proliferation, adhesion and motility.
2’,3’-dideoxynucleotide analogs are biologically active with a variety of DNA polymerases, and are chain terminators. Some analogs demonstrate variations in relative performance depending upon nucleotide and label (fluorophore or hapten) selected due to enzyme preferences.
