The AlphaPlex Terbium (Tb) Human Interferon Gamma-induced Protein 10 (hIP10) Detection Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of human IP10 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants using a homogeneous (no wash steps, no separation steps) assay.
This kit contains enough reagents to run 5,000 wells in 96-well or 384-well format, using a 50 µL reaction volume (5 µL of sample). Protocol can be found on the Certificate of Analysis.
AlphaPlex technology allows the detection of molecules of interest in a no-wash, highly sensitive, quantitative multiplexing assay. In an AlphaPlex assay, a biotinylated anti-analyte antibody binds to the Streptavidin-coated Donor beads while another anti-analyte antibody is conjugated to AlphaPlex Acceptor beads. In the presence of the analyte, the beads come into close proximity. The excitation of the Donor beads causes the release of singlet oxygen molecules that triggers a cascade of energy transfer in the Acceptor beads, resulting in a sharp peak of light emission at 545 nm.
AlphaPlex reagents are intended for use in conjunction with AlphaLISA reagents in multiplexing assays.

This application note describes how AlphaPlex reagents from PerkinElmer can be used to simultaneously detect IL-6 and IL-8 secretion by cell lines.
The balance of glucagon and insulin levels within the body is an important indicator of the function of metabolism. Healthy metabolic function is characterized by elevated levels of one of these hormones and lowered levels of the other. Simultaneous high levels generally indicate hyperglycemia or ...
