Beyond Bone: Emerging Applications in Preclinical microCT Imaging
MicroCT imaging offers superior spatial resolution compared to many other imaging modalities. Recent research incorporates microCT data with optical and nuclear data to generate multimodality datasets, increasing the understanding of disease and its progression. MicroCT offers excellent cross-sectional images of skeletal structures and has long been an established tool for evaluating bone structure. View this webinar to learn about how researchers are using microCT to image beyond bone into other applications. Dr. Rochefort from Paris Descartes University discussed his team’s efforts in expanding the utilization of microCT imaging beyond typical preclinical bone models. Through the use of vascular contrast agents increased investigation in many soft tissue organs are now feasible. Dr. Damoci from Columbia University discussed his research in the field of oncology using microCT.
