Planning for your Next Generation of Instruments

Committed To Radiometric Detection for 60 Years

For over 60 years, PerkinElmer has been recognized for experience and innovation in gamma counting, liquid scintillation instrumentation and analysis. Our capabilities result in unmatched expertise in products, applications and service. Our ongoing commitment to advances in technology progresses at a rapid rate, from when our products were first developed.

With each advance, comes new and cutting edge approaches to hardware and software development. In the effort to keep current with the latest software upgrades and newer systems, PerkinElmer finds it necessary to periodically retire older systems due primarily to the difficulties in sourcing parts, some of which are no longer manufactured. In addition, older operating systems, incorporated into the instrumentation, are no longer supported.

While we find it necessary to retire older systems, we remain committed to our Radiometric Instrumentation customers. We continue to invest in research and development, training, and service to maintain the strong reputations begun by both Packard and Wallac.

We will communicate to our customers when we will cease manufacturing of an instrument as an end of production notification. When in the future, we will no longer be able to service the retired instruments, we will send out an End of Service Life (EOSL) announcement in a timely manner in order to plan for future instrument upgrades so that important work proceeds with the minimum disruption.
