Single cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) provides transcriptional profiling of individual cells enabling researchers to understand at the single-cell level what genes are expressed, in what quantities, and how they differ within a biological sample. While traditional RNA-seq workflows produce a representative snapshot of the transcriptional state averaged across all cells in a heterogeneous sample, the resolution of individual cells and cellular subpopulations is lost.
