IVISense Integrin Receptor Fluorescent Probes (IntegriSense)

Integrins are a superfamily of transmembrane cell surface receptors that mediate signal transduction, cell-to-cell interaction, and cell-to-extracellular matrix adhesion - key processes for healthy cells as well as progression of disease states such as atherosclerosis and cancer, where integrins contribute to angiogenesis, tumorigenesis, and metastasis.

Among this superfamily, αvβ3 integrin holds promise as a therapeutic target in areas such as immuno-oncology, where αvβ3 integrin may prevent tumors from evading the immune system. PerkinElmer's IVISsense Integrin Receptor fluorescent probes (IntegriSense) are designed to target αvβ3 integrin for monitoring tumor growth, angiogenesis and assessing treatment efficacy.

IVISense Neutrophil Elastase 680 FAST Fluorescent Probe

Neutrophil Elastase (NE) is a protease secreted by neutrophils. Neutrophils are the first responders of the innate immune system and play a crucial role in fighting invading pathogens. Thought to be indiscriminate killers, research shows neutrophils are implicated in chronic inflammatory diseases and contribute to injury repair.

Better understand neutrophilic response in vivo with IVISense Neutrophil Elastase 680 FAST NIR fluorescent probe. IVISense Neutrophil Elastase 680 probe can detect NE post-degranulation or netosis from activated neutrophils.

IVISense Transferrin Receptor 750 Fluorescent Probe (Transferrin-Vivo)

Transferrin is an important serum protein that mediates iron transport into cells via the transferrin receptor, a function that is essential for cell growth and metabolism.

PerkinElmer’s IVISense Transferrin Receptor 750 fluorescent probe (Transferrin-Vivo) is a NIR-labeled in vivo imaging probe that detects transferrin receptor levels associated with an altered metabolic need for iron in cancer and inflammatory cells. IVISense Transferrin Receptor 750 fluorescent agent also detects normal transferrin receptor levels in the liver as well as decreased expression due to altered iron metabolism associated with drug-induced liver injury.

IVISense Cat B FAST Fluorescent Probes

IVISense Cat B FAST fluroescent probes enable non-invasive in vivo detection of disease status and progression in oncology, inflammation and other areas associated with Cat B activity.

Associated with tumor aggression, cathepsins are a family of proteases that are pivotal components of signaling pathways that can enhance cancer cell growth and inflammation. Within the human lysosomal cysteine cathepsin family, there are 11 members, including cathepsin B, L, S, and Plasmin. As a family, cysteine cathepsins are involved in the response to anticancer therapy within the tumor microenvironment and play crucial roles in the development of resistance to therapeutics. In particular, cathepsin B expression correlates with the invasive and metastatic capabilities of many tumors, such as in breast cancer where high expression levels of cathepsin B have been linked to highly aggressive tumors. Cathepsin B is also upregulated in a variety of inflammatory cells (including eosinophils, neutrophils, and macrophages).

IVISense Pan Cathepsin Fluorescent Probes (ProSense)

Proteases perform a fundamental role in protein regulation. Altered activity of lysosomal cathepsins, a class of protease, can indicate many disease-related processes, such as those involved in cancer, inflammation, arthritis, cardiovascular and many others. The ability to detect and quantify normal as well as altered protease cathepsin activity in vivo allows the progress and severity of these disease states to be tracked and interrogated over time.

PerkinElmer’s IVISense Pan Cathepsin fluorescent probes (ProSense®) are versatile pan-cathepsin-activatable NIR agents for imaging various disease-related events. These activatable probes are optically silent in their intact state and become highly fluorescent following protease-mediated cleavage and activation.

IVISense Cat K 680 FAST Fluorescent Probe

IVISense Cat K 680 FAST NIR fluorescent probe enables monitoring and quantifying cathepsin K (Cat K) activity.

Cat K is a lysosomal cysteine protease expressed in osteoclasts, chondrocytes, and synovial fibroblasts and is involved in bone resorption and collagen degradation. Women with osteoporosis, breast cancer and bone metastases are reported to have high levels of Cat K. The high expression levels of Cat K is a good marker for not only better understanding bone modeling and remodeling, but evaluating inhibitors of Cat K for potential therapeutics.
