LabChip GX Touch V1.7 Patch for ProteinEXact

Note:

·        Patch to provide ProteinEXact customers only

LabChip GX Touch V1.6 SP1

Resolved Issues:

·        Resolved an issue that could cause a device disconnect error to display when opening the LabChip GX Touch software (DRDS-1730).

·        Resolved an issue that could cause an unhandled exception to display when closing the LabChip GX Touch software immediately after the software enters the Idle state. (DRDS-1732)

LabChip GX Touch V1.6

New Features:

·        The Protein QC assay has been replaced with the Protein ClearTM HR Assay. The Protein Clear HR Assay can be run only with a Protein Clear HR chip. A “Skip Prime step” check box now displays on the “Prime and Calibrate” Window for Protein Clear HR chips that have already been primed. Selecting the checkbox allows for a calibration without a second prime. A dialog box now opens after calibration indicating if the calibration is successful, has failed, or is marginal. (DRDS-1692)

·        If the GxP option is currently installed, the “GxP option” checkbox has been removed from the Installation Setup Wizard when upgrading the software. The upgraded GxP option is automatically installed. (DRDS-1695)

·        A 64-bit compatible Barcode scanner driver has been added. (DRDS-1501)

·        The LabChip GX Touch can now perform runs if the instrument is not equipped with a barcode reader. The barcode options no longer display on the Diagnostics, Setup Run, and Start Run tabs for instruments not equipped with a barcode reader. (DRDS-1700)

Resolved Issues:

·        The LabChip GX Touch now provides more optimal calibration settings used for Protein Clear HR Assay processing. (DRDS-1669)

Known Issues:

·        An error “Failed to open the Plate file due to:Object reference not set to an instance of an object” displays when loading Protein QC data files. (DRDS-1722)

·        When the “Prime and Calibrate” button is clicked after a Protein Clear (TM) HR assay run, a second run is not possible. Current workaround is to remove the chip after the run; aspirate the liquid from the Waste Well (well 1); aspirate the liquid from the Marker Well (well 4); replenish with the recommended volume; remove the completed run plate and replace with new sample plate; and then recalibrate, reprime, and run the new plate. (DRDS-1724)

·         If the upgrade to LabChip GX Touch V1.6 was performed from V1.4 or earlier, diagnostics summary reports from the earlier version do not display after performing the V1.6 diagnostics test .(DRDS-1719)

LabChip GX Touch V1.5

New Features:

·         When the LabChip instrument door opens, a maintenance reminder message displays. (DRDS-1596)

·         The LabChip GX Touch now supports HT Protein QC assays. (DRDS-1666)

Resolved Issues:

·         Two events are no longer logged in Audit Log when Software locks automatically on Timeout. Extra “Application locked by user” event is not generated. (DRDS-1425)

Known Issues:

·         When performing certain sequences of tasks in the LabChip GX Touch software, a “Settings changed. Do you want to save your changes?” message may display. Current workaround is to touch the OK button to close the message box. No setting changes are made. (DRDS-1604)

·         When viewing the Run Info tab after running a Protein QC assay, some of the assay setting titles are cropped. Current workaround is to view the assay setting titles on the printed Run Info document. (DRDS-1643)

·         A blank column displays on the Software IQ summary report. (DRDS-1645)

·         When the Print Preview button is touched on the Run Info tab, an exception error may occur. Current workaround is to exit the software, shut down Windows, power down the instrument, and restart the system. (DRDS-1647)

·         If the LabChip GxP option is installed and a power failure occurs while running an assay, the assay fails and partial data is written into the CDR database. When power is restored and the LabChip GX Touch software is relaunched, the software may be unable to map to the server. Current workaround is to exit the software, shut down Windows, power down the instrument, and restart the system. (DRDS-1656)

·         If the LabChip GX Touch door is opened after calibrating the instrument for Protein QC assay processing, a warning message displays indicating that a re-run calibration is needed after washing the chip. (DRDS-1660)

·         If the Stop button is touched during a run, a time delay occurs between touching the Stop button and the instrument stop. If the Unload Chip button is touched before the run completely stops, the LabChip GX Touch software may appear to freeze. Current workaround is to wait for the Stop button to change to the Exit button before performing other tasks. (DRDS-1661)

·         The LabChip GX Touch software does not support the printing of calibration data. (DRDS-1665)

·         If a warning dialog displays after the LabChip GX Touch is calibrated to run a Protein QC assay, and the user selects “Yes” from the dialog, the calibration settings used for assay processing may be even less optimal than indicated. Current workaround for optimal calibration settings is to select “No” from the dialog, re-prepare the chip, and rerun the calibration. (DRDS-1669)

LabChip GX Touch V1.4 SP1

Resolved Issues:

·         The assay to run is now selected from the main window for both 24 High resolution and HT High Resolution Chips. (DRDS-1622)
