A receptor ligand binding assay allows for the study and simple imaging of cell surface receptors for research and diagnostic applications. Receptor ligand binding is used in drug development applications to identify blocking antibodies or inhibitors that can modulate downstream signaling events, and is often used to screen for drugs that target hormone and neurotransmitter activity. We offer a range of tools for receptor ligand binding assays including radioligands, receptor-transfected cell membranes, and cell lines. Triiodothyronine (T3) labeled with 125I. Triiodothyronine is a thyroid hormone that affects growth and development, body temperature, and heart rate. Specific activity indicates how much radioactivity there is per molecule of ligand.
