Alpha Technology

Virtually anything can be measured with Alpha Technology quickly and easily, including enzymes, receptor-ligand interactions, low-affinity interactions, second messenger levels, DNA, RNA, proteins, protein post-translational modifications, protein:protein interactions, peptides, sugars and small molecules.

LANCE Ultra TR-FRET

LANCE and LANCE (LANthanide Chelate Excitation) Ultra are our TR-FRET (time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer), homogeneous (no wash) technologies. One binding partner of interest is labeled with a donor fluorophore (a LANCE Europium chelate) and a second one is labeled with an acceptor fluorophore (ULight™ dye). Upon excitation at 320-340 nm, energy can be transferred from the donor Europium chelate to the acceptor fluorophore if sufficiently close for FRET (~10 nm). This results in the emission of light detectable at 665 nm.

This detection method, coupled with the unique chemical properties of lanthanide chelates, makes DELFIA a superior alternative to conventional ELISA for research, drug discovery, and clinical applications.

DELFIA offers a combination of high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and long-lasting stability that traditional ELISA cannot match.

AlphaScreen SureFire EGFR (p-Tyr1068) Assay Kit

The AlphaScreen® SureFire® p-EGFR (Tyr1068) assay is a sandwich immunoassay for quantitative detection of phospho-EGFR (phosphorylated on Tyr1068) in cellular lysates using Alpha Technology. Please note that an AlphaScreen Protein A kit, which contains the Alpha Beads necessary to run this assay, needs to be purchased separately in addition to the AlphaScreen SureFire kit.

IgG2 (bovine) AlphaLISA Detection Kit

The AlphaLISA immunoassay kit for detection and quantitation of bovine IgG2 in serum, plasma, and other sample types allows for fast, reproducible, and sensitive detection without the need for time-consuming wash steps or complicated assay development.

PTEN (human) AlphaLISA Detection Kit

The AlphaLISA® immunoassay kit for human PTEN enables the detection and quantitation of human PTEN in tissue homogenates and cell lysates using a homogeneous AlphaLISA assay (no wash steps). Other species of PTEN were not tested, but detection is expected with mouse and rat PTEN due to >99% sequence homology.

Phospho-Ribosomal Protein S6 (Ser240/244) Terbium SureFire Ultra Detection Kit

The Alpha SureFire® Ultra™ Multiplex kits allow the rapid, sensitive, and quantitative detection of two phosphoprotein targets in each well of an assay plate. This kit can be used in combination with any AlphaLISA SureFire Ultra assay to detect phospho-Ribosomal Protein S6 (Ser240/244) in a multiplexed assay.
