A microporous polyvinylidene difluoride membrane, PolyScreen is an effective alternative to nitrocellulose membranes for protein transfers.

  • Sensitive: detects low levels of protein and decreases exposure times
  • Easy to use: adapts to most nitrocellulose membrane protocols with the addition of a pre-wetting step
  • Durable: stronger than nitrocellulose, it won’t tear, crack or shrink, so there are no rips or crackles on your autorads and your molecular weight markers are not distorted
  • Reprobable: retains more protein than nitrocellulose, even during the most stringent washes
  • Flexible: for use with standard blocking reagents (nonfat dry milk, casein, non-ionic surfactants or BSA) and all common immunostains, chromogenic and chemiluminescent substrates
  • Wettable: entire membrane is prepared consistently, so transfers are more efficient
  • Archivable: won’t shatter when dry, or discolor over time
  • Safe: nonflammable, requires no special handling, storage or shipping precautions
