A reliable 3D cell-based assay starts with precise control over the microtissue size. GravityPLUS™ Plates are the only hanging drop plates on the market featuring the patent-pending SureDrop™ microtechnology, which allows for precise dispensing into and aspirating from hanging drops. As the drop volume corresponds to the seeding cell number, microtissues produced in GravityPLUS™ plates display outstanding size consistency, with variation in diameter of 5% and less across an entire 96-well plate.

Once the microtissues are formed, they can easily be harvested into a GravityTRAP™ or other plate for culturing and imaging.

GravityPlus™ Hanging Drop System is recommended for:

  • Primary cells
  • Co-cultures
  • Cell lines that fail to form spheroids in ULA plates
