This fluorescein labeled analog of deoxyguanosine triphosphate (dGTP) is useful for labeling with a variety of methods including nick translation, random priming, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and 3'-end labeling. Labeled products may be detected directly via fluorescence or indirectly by combining with anti-fluorescein HRP or AP conjugates.
Fluorescent 2’, 3’-dideoxynucleotide analogs are biologically active with a variety of DNA polymerases. Since dideoxynucleotides are chain terminators, they result in the analog being extended in a base specific manner onto the 3’-end of the DNA chain.
