Amyloid Oligomers AlphaLISA High-Specificity Detection Kit, 5,000 Assay Points

The AlphaLISA® Amyloid Oligomers High-Specificity Detection Kit is designed for detection and quantitation of human Amyloid beta Oligomers (AβO) in cell culture supernatants and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) using a homogeneous (no-wash steps, no separation steps) assay. The oligomerized standard is provided in collaboration with Crossbeta, using their innovative oligomer stabilization technology.

Overview

Achieve high sensitivity with our new AβO detection kit, using Crossbeta's stabilized Aβ oligomers standard analyte.

Amyloid beta Oligomer analyte included in this kit is provided in solution. Upon receipt, store immediately at -20°C and do not thaw analyte for any reason until use. Upon thawing, store analyte on ice, do not vortex or aggressively mix, and use within 1 hour. Each analyte sample can only be used once (do not re-freeze once thawed).

AlphaLISA technology allows the detection of molecules of interest in a no- wash, highly sensitive, quantitative assay. In an AlphaLISA assay, a biotinylated anti-analyte antibody binds to the Streptavidin-coated Donor beads while another anti-analyte antibody is conjugated to AlphaLISA Acceptor beads. In the presence of the analyte, the beads come into close proximity. The excitation of the Donor beads causes the release of singlet oxygen molecules that triggers a cascade of energy transfer in the Acceptor beads, resulting in a sharp peak of light emission at 615 nm.
