Solutions for Colocalization

Volocity advanced 3D-4D imaging software utilizes a whole set of correlation statistics including Pearson’s Correlation Co-efficient to provide numerical, non-subjective results for colocalization experiments. This greatly increases accuracy and offers you an increased level of confidence about exactly where colocalization occurs.

Colocalization Colocalization

Our solutions provide an improved means of visually identifying colocalization with a range of channel output options including the product of the difference from the mean (PDM). PDM images are an easy way of visualizing the areas of good colocalization and areas of exclusion in the sample. PDM channels show colocalization in the positive PDM channel (yellow) and exclusion, or 'anti-correlation' in the negative channel (purple).

Lack of colocalization generates black in both channels. Volocity features a complete set of tools which allows you to create high quality colocalization images and accurate statistics that can be used for publication.

For more information on how the colocalization statistics used in Volocity can bring increased clarity to your colocalization studies, please see the following paper which was published in Microscopy and Microanalysis.
