The UltraVIEW VoX offers the ultimate protection for your cells allowing you to create longer more advanced microscopy experiments. Our range of hardware options includes a choice of upright or inverted microscopes providing you maximum flexibility for a wide range of applications.
For HCS applications, the Opera® High Content Screening System and Operetta® High Content Imaging System both have options for live cell imaging enabling you to bring live cell imaging to HCS applications.
Sample protection
The
Opera High Content Screening System and the
Operetta High Content Imaging System can be integrated with our environmental control solutions and benefits from spinning disk technology which minimises photobleaching and phototoxicity.
UltraVIEW VoX utilizes the CSU-X1 spinning disk head, the latest technology from Yokogawa®. The CSU-X1 provides a high level of optical efficiency and lowers the required laser power, thereby ensuring even better sample protection.
Fastest acquisition
PerkinElmer’s patented ProSync® synchronization technology, which synchronizes the scanning disk speed, camera acquisition, laser illumination (protecting cells from illumination during camera readout) and z-position so that the highest acquisition rates can be achieved with superb image quality.
A choice of cooled CCD and EMCCD cameras is available, including the Hamamatsu® C9100-50 EMCCD camera. Developed by Hamamatsu exclusively for PerkinElmer, this camera uses proprietary technology, optimized for live cell imaging. It offers high resolution and high sensitivity, and allows the fastest possible acquisition speeds, so is the optimum choice for your high speed, 3D live cell experiments.
One source acquisition and analysis
UltraVIEW VoX is powered by Volocity software for a complete 3D acquisition and analysis solution all on one system. Volocity features interactive rendering over time, powerful acquisition and has an intuitive easy-to-use interface making it the ideal partner for live cell imaging techniques.
The UltraVIEW VoX is also available with an optional PhotoKinesis™ accessory for FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching) FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) photoswitching (photoconversion) and FLIP (fluorescence loss in photobleaching).
Opera and Operetta provide complete solutions for acquiring and analyzing high content image data for a range of applications, from basic research to assay development and screening.
