Traditional karyotyping methods, such as FISH or G-banding, are well established for detecting chromosomal aberrations, but they do not provide the speed, throughput or resolution required by today's cytogenetic laboratories.

With our aCGH arrays and associated software you can generate molecular profiles with a single experiment, and circumvent the considerable limitations of using metaphase spreads.

Our technology takes karyotyping to a new level of performance and ease-of-use. PerkinElmer microarrays are validated and quality controlled BAC arrays with high sensitivity and low background. Constitutional Chip® 3.0 allows you to focus your work on phenotypically relevant genomic gains and losses. Constitutional Chip® 4.0 focuses on well characterized chromosomal regions but also provides a back-bone coverage for detection of de novo events throughout the whole genome. Our products provide data on amplified and deleted regions reproducibly on a genome-wide scale.
