Library Cleanup

next-generation sequencing

DNA fragment clean-up is a critical component of next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation.  Performing many clean-up procedures in a single day can be very laborious.  In addition, less-than-maximal yields can jeopardize the success of your sequencing efforts.  Having an automated liquid handling workstation to perform these steps will ensure consistent quality and quantity of library material.

For NGS library preparation and target capture, magnetic bead methods are preferred.  The JANUS® Automated Workstation can reliably perform magnetic bead-based methods utilizing these and other kits:

JANUS platforms can be configured to include a number of liquid handling technologies for purifying DNA fragments in the high yields required for good NGS results.

  • Varispan Arm for maximum flexibility and individual tip control
  • VersaTip for seamless transition from fixed to disposable tips within a single protocol
  • Modular Dispense Technology® (MDT) arm for higher throughput bead washing
  • High-power 96-Well Toroid Magnet
  • Gripper arm for moving samples to and from the magnet

Get the Benefits:

  • Excellent sample-to-sample reproducibility and high yields
  • Maximum walk-away time
  • Greater chance of sequencing success with cleaner, more abundant samples
