Quantitation & Normalization
Accurate quantification and normalization of incoming nucleic acid samples and next-generation sequencing (NGS) libraries are critical for successful sequencing results, especially when multiplexing. Reliable normalization is required to produce quality DNA sequence data in a consistent and cost-effective manner. The JANUS® Automated Workstation with the DNA Normalization Option automates the processes of preparing plates for quantitation and generating normalized samples.
JANUS incorporates key liquid handling technologies to achieve precise, consistent concentrations across the sample set. In addition, most JANUS workstations can easily integrate with any of our Multimode Plate Readers including EnSpire®, Victor™ or Envision® to seamlessly execute your normalization tasks, including:
- Nucleic acid quantification using absorbance or fluorescence methods
- Triage of samples based on sample quality and/or quantity
- Fully automated quantitation and normalization in less than 30 minutes per plate with our multimode plate readers
- Partially automated processing with other readers and qPCR machines
Get the benefits:
- Flexibility to accommodate your quantitation method and sample criteria
- Reduced chance of error during normalization calculations and pipetting steps
- Confidence to multiplex your NGS samples for more cost-effective sequencing runs
