1. WHAT IS NEW IN LIVING IMAGE 4.4?
------------------------------------
Living Image 4.4 serves as an update for Living Image 4.3.1 version on IVIS Lumina, Lumina XR, Kinetic, Spectrum, and Spectrum CT instruments. Major features include the introduction of the Cherenkov imaging mode in the Wizard, integration of the entire PerkinElmer catalogue of fluorescent probes, support for IVIS Lumina Series III, FLIT algorithm improvements, and tool palette simplification. Living Image 4.4 release also provides improvements to the existing software features and bug fixes. For a full overview of Living Image 4.4 features and improvements, please refer to the Release Notes available on the CD-ROM and in the application installation folder.


2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
------------------------------------
For optimum performance, the Living Image 4.4 software requires hardware and software that meet or exceed the following requirements.

2.1. 2D Optical Data Analysis:

Windows 7 64-bit / Windows 7 32-bit / Windows XP* 32-bit / Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.8
2GHz Core 2 Duo or higher processor recommended 
4GB RAM recommended


2.2. 3D IVIS Spectrum CT Data Analysis with 3D Multi Modality Module:

Windows 7 64-bit / Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.8
2GHz Quad Core (i5, i7) processor recommended
8GB RAM recommended  


3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The Living Image 4.4 CD offers three installation packages depending on the computer operating system where Living Image is being installed. Choose from Windows 64-bit, Windows 32-bit, and Mac OS X options.

3.1. Windows 64-bit version

- Required for data acquisition on IVIS Spectrum CT
- Recommended for analysis on Windows 7 64-bit operating system

Installer available in folder - CD:\Windows 64-bit\LivingImage_44_WIN_64Bit_Install.exe.


3.2. Windows 32-bit version

- Recommended for data acquisition on all IVIS instruments excluding IVIS Spectrum CT
- Recommended for Windows XP and Windows 7 32-bit operating systems

Installer available in folder - CD:\Windows 32-bit\LivingImage_44_WIN_32Bit_Install.exe.


3.3. Mac OS X version

- Recommended for analysis on Mac OS X operating systems. For data analysis with 3DMM module Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.8 is required. 
 
Installer available in the CD folder - CD:\Mac OSX\LivingImage_44_MAC_Install.zip.
