SpectralWare Array Analysis System Software

SpectralWare® Array Analysis System software supports the result interpretation of PerkinElmer Microarrays. It is an automated method to generate a genome-wide molecular karyotype profile from a single experiment.

SpectralWare software accepts data from a variety of array scanners, including PerkinElmer's ScanArray product line. It converts two-color fluorescent dye signals into intensity ratio profiles. The profiles for each chromosome are correlated and displayed with ideograms of the chromosome to show the loci of each feature detected in the genome. SpectralWare displays chromosomal deletions and amplifications in a unique graphic presentation for rapid interpretation of results.

Upon completion of processing, slides are scanned and imaged with a microarray scanner. Files are then imported into SpectralWare software where data is presented visually and mapped to individual chromosomes. Changes in test samples from the reference are indicated by a deflection from the central axis.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. For use only with PerkinElmer array kits.

Features/Benefits

  • Web-based: simple deployment & administration.
  • Analysis logic downloads to your PC and runs on your data: faster analysis; your data remain local, secure and confidential.
  • Server provides comprehensive human genome annotation for analysis results: no need to download the entire human genome annotation set.
  • Color-enhanced data visualization via chromosomal ideograms, ratio plots, hi-lighted gains/deletions, detailed tablular view of clones overlapping the defects.
  • Provides automated assistance in detecting and characterizing chromosomal defects.
  • Semi-automated report generation: built-in Report editor auto-populated with starting information; speeds up reporting but still allows customized annotation.
