AxION Separation Probe

The new AxION® Separation Probe is the latest enhancement to the PerkinElmer AxION® MS portfolio of solutions, and brings chromatographic separation directly to the mass spectrometer ion source. This unique approach of connecting the column directly to the ion source minimizes the dead volume effects that can occur with UHPLC or HPLC separation, and results in improved signal to noise performance and increased selectivity due to better chromatographic separation.

The separation probe has been designed specifically to support high efficiency PerkinElmer Brownlee Superficially Porous Particle (SPP) columns. These columns maintain their resolving power at high flow rates allowing for higher sample throughput with enhanced results.

The combination of the unique snap in / snap out design of the AxION® Separation Probe, provide labs with the ability to quickly and easily change probes for each application or personalizing it for each user -- reducing downtime and minimizing cross-contamination risk.
