Advances in molecular and cell biology have provided us with an understanding of the mechanisms of disease at the molecular and genetic levels. Molecular diagnostics covers current molecular biological techniques used to identify the underlying molecular defects in inherited disease.
At PerkinElmer, we have developed the LabChip Dx instrument for molecular diagnostics in clinical research laboraties. The LabChip Dx uses Caliper’s patented microfluidic technology to perform reproducible, high-resolution, electrophoretic separations for analyzing multiplex PCR products for molecular biology applications.
The LabChip Dx is labeled “For Research Use Only.” It has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The LabChip Dx is not available in the United States.
