David Nislick, Ph.D.

David Nislick, Ph.D., is president of Illumination and Detection Solutions for PerkinElmer. He joined the Company in June 2004 in the role of global product leader for the Biotech business as well as director of Business Development for Optoelectronics.

Dr. Nislick was also president of PerkinElmer’s Lighting business and vice president of Marketing and Business Development for PerkinElmer Optoelectronics before assuming his current role in January 2009.

Prior to joining PerkinElmer, Dr. Nislick held senior marketing and corporate development roles with Corning Incorporated, Oak Industries and Axsun Technologies, and served as a management consultant in A.T. Kearney's Utilities practice. He also worked as a mergers and acquisitions analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Dr. Nislick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Middlebury College and received his Master of Arts and doctorate in business economics from Harvard Business School.
